Jennifer was born and raised in Southeastern Wisconsin and her love of animals stems from spending many weekends and summers on her grandparents’ dairy farm. As a young girl, she spent many hours in the saddle trail riding and fox hunting.
Jennifer went to school to pursue her love of history and she graduated with honors from the University of Mary Washington with a B.A. in Historic Preservation. She has previous veterinary experience (both large and small animal) from working at Rappahannock Equine Clinic and Banfield Pet Hospital. She started at Piedmont Equine Practice in the spring of 2014. Jennifer is currently working to build her own horse related business, Highfly Equine, LLC, providing equine sports massage therapy and MagnaWave PEMF therapy.
Jennifer found a way to combine her love of horses with her love of history by joining the Cavalry and riding her horses in Civil War reenactments with her husband, Logan. She and her husband live in Clarke County with their three quarter horses and cavalier king charles spaniel, Lily.
